The Village of Cooperstown is excited to announce that TextMyGov, text alerts and notifications, are now live! TextMyGov is a new text messaging service that will provide residents with important information such as road closures and water shut-offs directly to your cell phone.
You may receive a text message from 91896 from the Village of Cooperstown. You can choose to opt-out of texts at any time by texting STOP to 91896. If you did not receive the initial message, you can choose to opt-in by texting COOPERSTOWNALERTS to 91896. After you send this initial keyword, you will be asked to reply with a ‘YES’ to opt-in.
We are excited to offer this new way of communicating with residents and look forward to sharing important notifications with you in the future. This will not replace our Facebook and Website notifications, but is an additional tool to communicate with you.
